3" MINI Insertable Safety Flanges for 6" Mini Buffing Wheels

Proposition 65 Warning - Renegade Products

MINI Insertable Safety Flanges for 6" Mini Buffing Wheels

The Mini Insertable Safety Flanges for 6" Mini Airway Buffing Wheels are necessary to mount our 6" Mini Airway Buffing Wheels to your machine. These flanges are approximately 3" in diameter and have a 5/8"-11 thread pattern and are manufactured using high-quality billet aluminum. They are about 3" in diameter and are meant to be used on smaller 5" and 6" variable speed grinders, such as those manufactured by DeWalt, Bosch, and Milwaukee. (NOTE: These flanges and wheels are not to be used with single-speed, high-RPM grinders.)

The recessed notch allows for less play in the flanges while preserving that valuable thread space on your machine's arbor. The hexagonal "seat" is meant specifically meant to securely mount our 6" Mini Airway Buffing Wheels

    What are Safety Flanges?

Safety Flanges are to be used during high speed polishing and buffing with our Mini Airway Buffing Wheels. They are meant to reduce the chances warping of the center plate of the buffing wheel. In addition to offering protection against warping, Safety Flanges also help to keep the mini buffing wheel securely in place.

How do I use Safety Flanges?

Attach the safety flanges to each side of your airway buffing wheel by simply placing the flange on your grinder's shaft, placing the buffing wheel on top of the flange, and placing the second flange on top of the buffing wheel. The next step is to fasten the attachments securely before buffing/polishing.
